David Zubitashvili

Deputy General Director of Development, SOCAR Energy Georgia

Mr David Zubitashvili is a Doctor of Technical Sciences. He is a member of the Georgian Energy Academy and a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences (WAAS). He used to hold various leading positions in the Government of Georgia and in the Georgia energy sector, including positions of Deputy Minister of Transport, Minister of Fuel and Energy, Deputy Minister of Economy, Chairman of the State Concern Georgian Oil Products, Chairman of the State Energy Company SAKENERGO, and Director of a Scientific – Research Institute of Energy and Energy Structures.

Since 2006, he has held a number of top executive positions in the SOCAR team and now serves as a Deputy General Director of Development at SOCAR Energy Georgia.
