SOCAR's first ever subsidiary abroad is SOCAR Energy Georgia. It was established in 2006
for the purposes of the import, wholesale and retail of oil and gas
products and distribution of natural gas in Georgia

We are among the top investors in Georgia

In an effort to carry out our operations, subsidiaries such as SOCAR Georgia Gas, SOCAR Georgia Petroleum and SOCAR Georgia Security, which are fully owned by SOCAR Energy Georgia, were established.

SOCAR Georgia Gas has conducted an extensive gasification program throughout Georgia. More than 12,000 kilometers of pipelines have been developed and rehabilitated in the country that allows to supply gas to over 860,000 customers.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum carries out wholesale and retail sales of oil products, operates over 100 filling stations and a chain of retail stores located on the premises of the station network.

Another group member company - The Kulevi Oil Terminal is an oil and oil products transshipment terminal, which has been operating since May 2008. The terminal has the capacity to load and unload 10MM tons of oil and oil products per year.

Some of our key achievements, milestones, and awards are listed below

2023

As a result of privatization of state assets, the distribution license was expanded. Total of 3,266 km of gas pipelines were connected to the existing distribution network with more than 55 thousand potential customers

2022

We increased number of households served with natural gas 10 times and exceeded 800,000 subscribers

2021

We built and handed over, free of charge, a kindergarten and a sports complex to the state in Marneuli, Georgia

2020

We donated 200,000 Georgian Lari to the StopCov foundation and additionally supported vulnerable families with the aid packages worth a total of 300,000 Georgian Lari

2019

In response to the wildfire, we have demonstrated our commitment to ecology by planting 4,700 trees on the damaged territory in Borjomi, Georgia

2018

We are proud to have fulfilled gasification obligations outlined in the procurement agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia as of December, 2008

2017

As a part of our green initiatives we started installing solar panels on the roofs of our stations generating electricity for our own use

2016

After an unprecedented technical feat we saved and repaired a historic 100-year-old building

2015

Opening of the SOCAR office in Batumi

2013

SOCAR opened a gas station in Batumi, which also includes a McDonald's restaurant. This building is renowned for its unique design and has received several global awards for its architecture

2012

The design concept for the new SOCAR Energy Georgia office in Tbilisi was based on an ancient fortress structure in Baku – Maiden Tower

2011

We opened an unprecedented multifunctional complex on the western highway. Located in Urbnisi, Georgia. It includes children's entertainment areas, Way Mart cafe-market, and other convenience stores and catering facilities

2010

We reached an amazing milestone of 1,000 employees

2009

As a result of the procurement agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, SOCAR Georgia Gas started fulfilling gasification obligations across Georgia

2008

The opening of the oil terminal with the production capacity of 10 million tons of oil and oil products annually, making it one of the largest in the region

2007

The opening of the first SOCAR fuel station in Georgia. At the same time, it is the first SOCAR station outside Azerbaijan

2006

Establishing the first SOCAR group company outside Azerbaijan, marking the beginning of a new era in Georgia's energy sector
