Awarding top achievers of the 1+4 program

Since the 2008-2009 academic year, SOCAR has been funding the tuition fees of Azerbaijani students enrolled in Georgian state universities through the 1+4 state educational program. To date, the company has supported a total of 7,200 students under this initiative.

Recognizing the social significance of this project, SOCAR continuously implements measures to enhance its sustainability and impact. These efforts have contributed to a consistent improvement in students' academic performance, a trend that has strengthened year after year.

SOCAR has developed and launched an innovative student portal, myscholarship.ge. This platform simplifies the submission of required documents and ensures greater accessibility for students seeking support.

In a further effort to motivate high-performing students and set a benchmark for academic excellence, SOCAR has introduced an annual reward program for students achieving an overall educational score above 95. Over the past three years, 33 exemplary students have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

This year, we have rewarded 22 students with financial prizes.

Additionally, since the 2020-2021 academic year, SOCAR has introduced a student representation initiative at the five largest state universities in Georgia. Twelve representative students are actively working to address their challenges and enhance the efficiency of the SOCAR Scholarships program through on-site support and direct communication.

SOCAR remains committed to fostering education and empowering the next generation. This initiative underscores the company’s dedication to creating opportunities for academic success and contributing to the development of a skilled and educated society.
