On May 28, to celebrate the Independence Day of Azerbaijan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Mr Faig Guliyev and General Director of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mr. Mahir Mammedov decorated the Heydar Aliyev memorial plaque and the Pantheon of eminent Azerbaijani figures in the Botanical Garden with flowers. It is note worthy, that the first Prime Minister of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, Fatali Khan Khoiski is also buried in this pantheon. Ambassador Guliyev, Mahir Mammedov and their guests also visited the Heydar Aliyev Memorial Garden, which was dedicated by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev in 2023.
