On September 27, with deep respect and gratitude, Azerbaijan commemorated the memory of all Martyrs who gave lives for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of their country.

The victory Azerbaijan gained under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev opened a new era in the history of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The 44 day Patriotic War put an end to the aggression against the sovereign lands of Azerbaijan, ensured the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and restored the fundamental rights of nearly one million Azerbaijanis.
