Support for Socially Vulnerable Households
COVID-19 crisis of 2020 has set new challenges for world governments including our country. The hard year was even harder for socially vulnerable households and that is the reason why SOCAR Energy Georgia's General director - Mahir Mammedov, together with the State Ministry Office has organized the distribution of free products for almost 3000 families living at the border of the occupied regions, as well as socially vulnerable families in other regions.
The packages’ overall cost is just under 300 000 GEL and this is not the first time that company provides financial support in a battle against the pandemic. Socar Energy Georgia had transferred 200 000 GEL to StopCov foundation as soon as the state of emergency was declared while 2000 families had also received the products of 200 000 GEL as social support in March 2020, during the first wave of pandemics.
