25.10.13 New gas network in the village of Kvemo Osiauri, Khashuri region.

 Today, on October 25, 2013, Minister of Energy of Georgia Mr.Kakhi Kaladze and director of SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd Mr. Anar Mammadov took part in the event dedicated to handing into exploitation the new gas network constructed by company SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd in the village of Kvemo Osiauri, Khashuri region. The gas pipeline of the length of 7 kilometers will enable 200 subscribers to get connected to the gas network.

 It must be noted that as of today new gas pipelines have already been built in the following villages of Khashuri region: Surami, Utria-Chuma Teleti, Kvishkheti, Zemo Osiauri as a result of which 7900 subscribers have already been provided with gas. As a whole, in the Shida Kartli region company SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd has constructed and handed into use 350 kilometers of gas pipelines and 10405 subscribers have been provided with gas.

 From 2009 to 2013 company SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd constructed 366 kilometers of gas networks throughout the country and provided 184 635 subscribers with gas. Until the end of the year, 568 kilometers of gas pipelines will be handed for use and 20796 subscribers will be provided with gas.

 Company SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd being the daughter company of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd, was established in August 2007 for participating in the natural gas market of Georgia. Its main activities include supply of natural gas. The company carries out its import and sale to social and commercial users.

 Within the framework of the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia and company SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd the company carries out construction of new pipelines and rehabilitation of the existing ones in the populated areas of various regions of Georgia.
